Description
Dora the Kid is a robotic cat deputy modeled after Doraemon, serving alongside an elderly sheriff and his granddaughter, Annie on the American frontier before becoming a Time Patrol special agent. His origins lie in the Robot Academy, where he was one of seven mischievous students operating independently. Doraemon later recruited him, along with Wang Dora, Dora-rinho, Dora-nichov, Dora Med III, and El Matadora, for a critical mission to rescue classmates Sunekuchi and Jaides. This success forged their bond, creating the Doraemons group. They utilized Friendship Telecards to summon each other in emergencies, often guided by Principal Teraodai.

Hot-headed and stubborn, Dora the Kid prefers acting as a lone wolf. He initially rejected Doraemon's friendship, believing independence superior, but eventually acknowledged Doraemon's worth and joined the group. Though he often dismisses girls as troublesome, he shows romantic tenderness towards his girlfriend, Dorami. He possesses intense loyalty, willing to sacrifice himself for friends or those in need. A recurring trait is declaring "so hungry, can't move..." when without food. His preferred dorayaki includes mustard and ketchup. He also suffers chronic acrophobia (fear of heights), complicating his aspiration to explore the stars; he confronts it when necessary, such as flying blindfolded while holding someone's hand.

His primary skill is sharpshooting, rivaled only by Nobita. His weapon is an Air Gun, gifted by Dorami, firing powerful blasts of air. He ranks as the third smartest Doraemon, displaying quick wit and innovative problem-solving using biology, physics, and chemistry knowledge, plus a foundational grasp of legal statutes. Unlike other Doraemons, he stores gadgets in a Fourth-Dimensional Hat.

Key relationships define him. His romance with Dorami began during an academy incident rescuing her from rogue robots. They frequently spar but mend quickly with mutual apologies. He sought Doraemon's help to temper his anger after Dorami's criticism, using the "Arrow of Reverse" at personal cost, and promised to minimize Air Gun use after her disapproval. Doraemon is his trusted confidant, especially concerning Dorami. Nobita is both friend and competitive rival.

Trivia notes include his design and name referencing outlaw Henry McCarty ("Billy the Kid"). He rides a robotic horse named Edo, collects Air Guns in a home display, and attracts female admirers. His ears remain concealed under his hat, and he is ambidextrous.
