Shashot serves as the conductor robot interface for the Shinkalion E5 Hayabusa, created by Isaburo Yatsushiro. His core function guides the driver towards surpassing a 100% Compatible Rate while simultaneously acting as a limiter to lessen pilot burden. Constructed by SUEI's engineers following Yatsushiro's disappearance, Shashot's complete purpose only became clear when Team Shinkalion initiated contact with his creator.

He typically displays a cheerful and friendly personality, enabled by deep-learning AI to express human-like emotions. Shashot shares a strong bond with his primary partner, Hayato Hayasugi, though he sometimes finds Hayato's extreme railway enthusiasm excessive. His demeanor shifts sharply during combat; once integrated into the E5 unit, he adopts a focused and aggressive stance. Linguistically, he habitually uses honorifics, ending sentences with "-de gozaimasu," a pattern that ceases entirely while operating within a Shinkalion.

Functionally, Shashot enables "interlock," synchronizing mental imagery between himself and the driver to enhance E5 performance and reduce strain. He stores Shinca Cards within an IC card slot in his stomach compartment, retrieving them for Hayato as needed. After a significant upgrade in Episode 20, he gained the Wing Pantograph DX, a backpack-like attachment resembling the E5's head with deployable wings, and a personality recognition system. This system analyzes and categorizes an individual's physiognomy, personality traits, and emotional state on an A-to-D scale.

A distinct variant, Black Shashot, exists as a replica created by Kirin. This version functions as the autonomous operating system for the Black Shinkalion Numbers, fulfilling a role separate from the original Shashot.
