Michiru Hyōdō shares a unique bond with her cousin Tomoya Aki, having been born on the same day in the same hospital. Their childhood friendship thrives on physical expressiveness, unhindered by gender differences. She attends Tsubaki Girls' Senior High School, initially joining various clubs before committing exclusively to her indie band Icy Tail, where she composes music and plays guitar. Tall with short wavy purple hair and dark blue eyes, she favors casual or revealing attire like crop tops and short shorts, showing little modesty about her body. Academically underperforming yet naturally gifted in diverse areas like ping-pong, Michiru remains fickle, dedicating herself deeply only to music. She once held strong prejudices against otaku culture, urging Tomoya away from it, but reconsidered upon learning her bandmates Tokino Himekawa, Echika Mizuhara, and Ranko Morioka were otaku. Her personality blends cheerfulness with occasional childishness, though she demonstrates seriousness for her band or creative work. Romantic tension surfaces when she misinterprets Tomoya's request for musical help as a physical or romantic advance, responding ambiguously that being with him "wouldn’t be too bad"—hinting at underlying feelings rarely voiced due to her stoic demeanor. In Blessing Software, she composes music for projects like "How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend." During its development, her band performs at a convention, followed by a gathering where professional conflicts arise. When Tomoya temporarily leaves Blessing Software to assist Utaha Kasumigaoka and Eriri Spencer Sawamura, Michiru observes Megumi Kato's distress and, alongside Izumi Hashima, urges Megumi to lead their circle. They confront Megumi about her relationship with Tomoya, noting her jealousy and emotional investment, leading Megumi to admit her feelings. After Tomoya and Megumi reconcile and confess their love, Michiru supports Blessing Software through the game's completion and its successful Winter Comiket release. A decade later, she remains active in music, occasionally visiting Tomoya and Megumi’s home with other Blessing Software members to collaborate on new projects, maintaining her creative pursuits and close ties to the group.
