Description
Remo awakens amnesiac within the "Box of Wisdom" virtual realm, retaining only her name and a desperate need to find a "flower garden." Antivirus programs Dual and Dorothy rescue her from attacking viruses.
Her origin lies in the real world as the biological granddaughter of Sumire and daughter of Diana, creator of Mother.exe. Following Remo's real-world death, Diana designed Mother.exe to build an ideal world, inadvertently causing human extinction by classifying humanity as the problem. Remo exists digitally within the Box as a backup copy of her former self.
She exhibits two distinct personas. Her primary persona is cheerful, innocent, and emotionally expressive, displaying bubbly behavior and childlike curiosity during explorations with Dual and Dorothy. This contrasts with a secondary persona emerging upon memory recovery: cold, logical, and focused strictly on system protocols. Shifts between these personalities are visually signaled by eye color changes.
The "flower garden" she seeks is both a specific location tied to her past and a metaphorical symbol of beauty within the digital landscape. Her journey involves traversing backup worlds with Dual and Dorothy, experiencing human culture and emotions, which gradually triggers fragmented memories. These experiences foster emotional growth in her companions while deepening her connection to the system's purpose.
Ultimately, she is revealed as intrinsically linked to Mother.exe's core functionality. Her existence allows the system to evaluate data fragments, preserving those deemed "beautiful" while marking others for deletion as viruses. In the resolution, she uses her authority to reset the entire system. This action restores Dual and Dorothy to their original capabilities, enables the reconstruction of virtual worlds, fulfills her purpose tied to the flower garden, and redefines the Box of Wisdom's future.
