Description
Sakurako Ōmuro is a first-year student at Nanamori Middle School and a member of the Student Council. She belongs to the Ōmuro family, with Nadeshiko as her older sister and Hanako as her younger sister. Her childhood included a close friendship with Himawari Furutani, featuring a mock wedding ceremony arranged by Nadeshiko. This relationship later shifted into a rivalry filled with frequent bickering, though Sakurako retains lingering feelings from their early bond.

Physically, Sakurako has an average height, wavy blonde hair, brown eyes, and a notably small bust. She typically wears two hair clips—one red and one black—on the left side of her head. Her personality is marked by laziness and poor memory retention, often forgetting instructions immediately. Academically, she struggles with kanji writing and relies on Himawari to complete homework. She avoids cooking from scratch, preferring pre-prepared ingredients despite encouragement to learn simple recipes.

Despite her laziness, Sakurako is athletic and teases Himawari about her lack of sportiness. She admires seniors like Kyōko Toshinō and is highly gullible, believing most things she hears. Her relationships feature a contentious dynamic with Himawari, involving mutual insults about physical appearance yet underlying care. She maintains friendly ties with Akari Akaza, bonding over shared unfavorable treatment in their clubs, and with Chinatsu Yoshikawa, who visits her home and allows Sakurako to play with her hair. Within her family, Nadeshiko and Hanako frequently scold her for laziness or lapses in common sense, but also demonstrate affection—Hanako makes pancakes after feeling left out, and Sakurako prepares porridge when Hanako is ill.

In the spin-off *Ōmuro-ke*, Sakurako navigates everyday life with her sisters. She attempts to mend disagreements, like passing off a new sweater as a hand-me-down to Hanako post-argument. She shows concern for Nadeshiko's emotional state during relationship troubles, though her attempts to snoop into Nadeshiko's private life backfire. Hanako later seeks her advice about personal relationships, indicating growing trust between them.

Sakurako exhibits gradual maturity across media. In *YuruYuri Nachuyachumi!+*, she demonstrates thoughtful consideration during a Student Council sleepover: recognizing Ayano Sugiura's consistent support, she diligently prepares a meal to express gratitude, contrasting her typical reliance on others and highlighting growth in interpersonal relationships.

Her appearances span multiple formats, including numerous manga volumes and chapters, the *Nachuyachumi!+* special episodes involving water fights, ghost rumors, and sleepovers, and the *Ōmuro-ke* spin-off films *Dear Sisters* and *Dear Friends* focusing on her family interactions.
