TV-Series
Description
Chitose Ikeda attends Nanamori Middle School as a student council member, consistently appearing alongside Ayano Sugiura. She exhibits a gentle, calm demeanor and speaks in a soft Kansai dialect, harboring a strong fondness for pickled foods—especially the act of slicing them. Her appearance features wavy, chin-length lavender-white hair, indigo eyes, and thin-framed round glasses. She removes these glasses to indulge in vivid romantic delusions, predominantly centered on Ayano and Kyōko Toshinō as a couple. These fantasies frequently trigger severe nosebleeds, a recurring comedic effect stemming from her anemia.

Consuming chocolate provokes an altered state where she aggressively kisses multiple characters—termed a "make-out rampage." This reaction arises from alcohol-laced chocolate in the manga, while the anime attributes it to intoxication from alcoholic chocolate. The rampage ceases only when Ayano kisses Kyōko's cheek, exhausting Chitose through subsequent nosebleeds.

She is the older twin of Chizuru Ikeda. Their family relocated schools frequently due to parental circumstances before settling with their grandmother to prioritize studies. At home, Chizuru displays sisterly affection, contrasting her reserved public demeanor. Chitose befriended Ayano upon entering Nanamori, finding her seated alone; their bond solidified into steadfast friendship. Chitose supports Ayano's unspoken feelings for Kyōko while subtly nurturing her own romantic attachment to Ayano—a tension reflected in character songs expressing her desire for Ayano's happiness with any chosen partner.

Beyond Ayano, she interacts amiably with Akari Akaza, gifting pickled radish and offering life advice. Though she fantasizes about Kyōko romantically, their daily exchanges remain cordial and supportive. Her student council and Amusement Club involvement persists across all seasons, OVAs, and spin-offs like *Reset!* and *MiniYuri*. Character development shows reduced nosebleed incidents and fantasy frequency, notably in *San-Hai!*, indicating subtle maturation. In the 10th-anniversary OVA *YuruYuri Ten*, she decorates the clubroom and participates in celebratory games, retaining signature traits with increased stability.

Academically, she ranks among the top ten students per manga exam results. Trivia includes her raccoon-themed pajamas, stuffed goat plushies in manga cover art, and anemia exacerbated by frequent blood loss. Character songs like "Ai no Delusion" explicitly reference her shipping of Ayano and Kyōko.
