OVA
Description
Chinatsu Yoshikawa is a 13-year-old first-year at Nanamori Middle School, standing 149 cm tall with a November 6 birthday and AB blood type. Her distinctive fluffy pink twin tails, secured by maroon or red ribbons, possess the unusual trait of absorbing small objects like ping pong balls. She has blue or pink eyes (sources vary) and a creamy complexion.

Initially planning to join the Tea Ceremony Club like her older sister Tomoko, Chinatsu instead enters the Amusement Club after the Tea Ceremony Club dissolves. Kyōko Toshinō recruits her due to her resemblance to the anime character Mirakurun. Though initially wary of Kyōko's obsessive behavior, Chinatsu gradually develops a tolerant friendship, accompanying her on Christmas dates and hot springs visits to ease her loneliness.

Chinatsu harbors intense romantic feelings for Yui Funami, stemming from Yui's initial protection from Kyōko. Her admiration drives persistent efforts to deepen their bond: daydreaming of romantic scenarios, creating matching protection charms, collecting photos of them together, experiencing jealousy when others interact with Yui, and seeking physical affection like hugging or snuggling. She even practices kissing with Akari Akaza to prepare for potential moments with Yui. During activities like camping trips, Chinatsu prioritizes working alongside Yui and becomes thrilled by perceived intimate moments, such as an illusory kiss photo.

Her personality shows duality: she typically presents a cute, innocent demeanor, especially around Yui, but occasionally reveals selfish tendencies and dark thoughts, like suggesting splashing water on Akari or recalling past elementary school bullying. She is easily frightened by horror content, reacting strongly during movies. Exhaustion also prompts unladylike behavior, such as lying on floors in "old man poses."

A defining trait is her severely underdeveloped artistic ability. Her drawings, sculptures, and crafts consistently horrify others with their disturbing quality, though she remains unaware of this effect and maintains confidence in her skills. This extends to cooking and baking, where her creations appear monstrous. Interestingly, her abilities temporarily improve when she has a cold or works under fatigue. Academically, she excels except in geography and social studies.

Her relationship with Akari evolves from using her as a practice proxy for Yui to genuine closeness. They share moments like hand-holding during scary situations, pajama talks about Yui, and collaborative activities. Chinatsu expresses protectiveness toward Akari, insisting she not disappear during tests of courage.

In broader media, Chinatsu participates in club sleepovers where she cuddles Yui and plays video games. During the 10th-anniversary OVA, she attempts baking cookies with Himawari, resulting in terrifying creations blurred for viewers. Childhood flashbacks reveal she once bullied Akari, Kyōko, and Yui at a playground before knowing them, and she later expresses distress at being perceived as a bully.
