Chinatsu Yoshikawa enters Nanamori Middle School as a first-year intending to join the Tea Ceremony Club, only to discover its disbandment leads her to the Amusement Club instead. She possesses pink hair styled in fluffy pigtails secured with maroon bobbles, blue eyes, and a creamy complexion. Her hair displays unusual properties, absorbing small objects like ping pong balls to her clubmates' surprise.

Her demeanor radiates cuteness, benevolence, and helpfulness, particularly around Yui Funami, whom she adores with passionate romantic intensity. This attraction partly motivated her club choice. Around Yui, she daydreams of embraces, seeks physical closeness when frightened, gifts matching protection charms, thrills at sharing clothes or bathing together, and burns with jealousy over Yui's interactions with others. She actively cultivates their bond, demonstrated through dedicated cooking efforts during a camping trip.

Yet Chinatsu harbors a darker undercurrent. Selfish tendencies, dark thoughts, and bullying impulses surface occasionally. A flashback reveals she bullied Akari Akaza, Kyōko Toshinō, and Yui Funami at a playground before knowing them in middle school. She sometimes proposes mean-spirited acts, like splashing Akari in the bathroom. Her artistic expressions unsettle others; her drawings, sewing, and clay art horrify with grotesque style, a recurring trait. Once, she forcibly kissed Akari under the guise of "practice" for her feelings toward Yui.

Her dynamic with Kyōko Toshinō is complex. Kyōko initially pursues Chinatsu for her resemblance to the anime character Mirakurun. Chinatsu maintains early distance but gradually warms, accompanying Kyōko on a Christmas date and hot springs visit to stave off loneliness. With Akari, she exhibits moments of closeness—clinging to her arm in fear or holding her hand—yet also uses Akari to gather intelligence on Yui.

Chinatsu exhibits intense fear toward horror movies and scary experiences, reacting by clutching others tightly enough to bruise or displaying unsettling facial expressions. When exhausted or overheated, she displays unladylike behavior, lying on the floor or scratching her back with objects. She has an older sister, Tomoko, who harbors a crush on Akari's sister, Akane.

Beyond the main series, she features in spin-offs like *Reset!* and *Ōmuro-ke* in supporting roles. Her character design drew inspiration from Mirakurun, though pigtails and eye color were adjusted after the creator expanded the club from three to four members following the first chapter's completion.
