Description
Brau Balm, the blue Sword Eyes of Darkness, possesses a muscular build marked by a prominent facial scar. Born into a lineage devoted to Atlantia's royal imperial guard, he holds deep loyalty to the monarchy. Fourteen years prior to the main events, he hunted the droid Bringer during Bringer's escape from Atlantia with the infant Tsurugi. Failing to stop them earned Brau his scar and dismissal from the guard, igniting an enduring obsession for revenge against Bringer.
Stern and intolerant of failure, Brau exhibits unwavering devotion to King Yaiba. After Yaiba's ascension, Brau joined the Sword Eyes of Darkness. He believed defeating Bringer in combat fulfilled his revenge, though this victory was later eclipsed by a loss to Tsurugi during Bringer's rescue. Following this defeat, Brau sought execution from Yaiba for perceived disloyalty but was spared due to Garudos's intervention.
Brau volunteered to battle Haqua when she challenged Yaiba, dismissing her warnings about blind loyalty and suffering defeat. He subsequently lost a duel against Amarello over Grenada's freedom, resulting in Grenada's release. Later, he participated in the ritual to summon the Sword of Judgment, engaging Sora in battle during the event. At the conflict's climax, he aided others by diverting Stinger forces from evacuation arks.
After the war, Brau maintained allegiance to Yaiba, training with the Red Army in the epilogue. His combat style employs a blue Battle Spirits deck focused on rush-oriented spirits, utilizing key cards like The AbyssalGod Dist-Ruction and The AbyssGiantSword Abyss-Apocalypse.
