Description
Sora Ryuuyō, the blue Sword Eyes of Light, bears a shaven head marked by a brown braid and a striking facial scar. Clad in blue attire accented by an orange belt, a white jacket, and black wristbands, he balances stern seriousness with unwavering responsibility, fiercely protective of his village’s welfare yet harboring deep-seated distrust toward royals and their mechanized enforcers. His battles intertwine combat with impassioned discourses on love, a theme central to his identity.

A gifted droid mechanic, Sora shares his home with younger brother Long and maintains a lifelong bond with Kizakura, forged during childhood scavenging in secondhand parts markets. Initially resistant to aiding Tsurugi in repairing the Atlantian droid Bringer—due to his village’s ingrained aversion—he relents after a defeat, recognizing the machine’s uniqueness. This pivotal choice draws him into Tsurugi’s orbit, though he hesitates before fully committing, eventually crafting an airship to join their quest.

His journey weaves through victories and defeats: toppling Rirove for cruelty toward the artificial human Suou, falling to Garudos during a Pacifice decoy mission, and enduring capture and brainwashing by Atlantian forces. Forced to subjugate Kolga’s villagers, he clashes with Hagakure, whose efforts to reignite his buried emotions falter until Kizakura disrupts his conditioning with blisteringly spicy cookies. Freed, Sora aids in summoning the Sword of Judgment, confronts Brau, and equips Tsurugi with vital cards during the final clash.

Post-conflict, he returns to mechanical work alongside Long, his deck—anchored in blue light attributes—boasting spirits like The BattleRadiantGod Soldnerg and The AzureOceanGreatSword Maelstrom, complemented by strategic nexus and magic cards. Mirroring his anime arc, the manga depicts his evolution from reluctant village inventor to key ally after Garudos and Zardo’s assaults. Beyond the series, he ventures anew with fellow Sword Eyes, his path marked by reluctant alliances, psychological resilience against manipulation, and redemption through bonds with Long, Kizakura, and the group—a testament to his expertise, ideological defiance, and unyielding will to reclaim autonomy.
