He masquerades as a local figure eager to acquire valuable artworks, especially those containing the rare Artoria Blue pigment. His deep knowledge of historical art and Artoria's affairs attracts Doraemon and Nobita's group during their investigation into stolen paintings. Paru's true identity is revealed as an undercover agent of the Time Patrol, a future law enforcement agency safeguarding temporal integrity. He was engaged in a temporal pursuit of the thief Sodro when their confrontation fractured a historical artwork. One fragment accidentally fell into Nobita's present-day room due to Sodro's actions during the chase. Paru's mission focuses on capturing Sodro and preventing the misuse of future technology in the past. During the film's events, Paru aids Doraemon and Nobita in thwarting Sodro's schemes, which involve a human-impersonator robot posing as Princess Claire and the orchestrated release of the demonic entity Isere from a painting.
