Description
Daedalus hails from Synapse, an advanced realm whose inhabitants evolved parallel to humanity. As Synapse's leading scientist, she co-developed the Rule, a wish-granting system that initially granted wishes before plunging residents into existential despair and widespread suicide. To counter this ennui, she participated in recreating the universe and later engineered humanity alongside the first Angeloids for observation. Witnessing Synapse's envy of human dreaming capacity, she created dream-dome technology, projecting her consciousness into an artificial human body on Earth.
She assumed a dream existence as Tomoki's childhood friend Sohara Mitsuki, whose life ended prematurely by illness. Following this "death," her existence was erased from human memories, including Tomoki's. To ensure he wouldn't forget, she created a biological clone of her dream self—the Sohara active in the series—and dispatched it to Earth.
