Description
Yosuke Amamiya, a middle-aged man with grey hair and brown eyes, balances the demands of a relentless career that tethers him away from home. Married to the younger Misako a year before the story’s events, he navigates the complexities of a blended family alongside his biological son, Kazuhiko. Though genuinely devoted to Misako, Yosuke’s emotional and physical presence dwindles under professional strain—late returns and exhaustion erode their connection, culminating in three months of absent intimacy. This void fractures their bond, leaving Misako adrift in isolation.

Yosuke acknowledges Kazuhiko’s defiance toward his stepmother but defers to Misako’s dismissals, chalking it up to teenage rebellion. Preoccupied with work, he overlooks her cryptic anxieties and the anonymous provocations haunting her, blind to the dangerous undercurrents between Misako and Kazuhiko.

His narrative presence lingers on the periphery, detached from the central turmoil of Misako’s unmet desires or Kazuhiko’s calculated influence. Oblivious to the transgressions unfolding beneath his roof, Yosuke remains a passive figure, his unwitting silence mirroring the moral decay consuming his family.
