Movie
Description
Coco, also known as Kokoda Kouji in human form, is a prince from the Palmier Kingdom. Following Nightmare's invasion of his homeland, he escapes to the human world. He adopts the identity of Kokoda Kouji to work as a teacher at L'École des Cinq Lumières, enabling him to stay near the Pretty Cure team while searching for the Dream Collet and its Pinkies to restore his kingdom. In his natural fairy state, he resembles a fox with beige fur, a salmon-red head tuft, and a puffy tail, frequently ending sentences with "-coco". His human form has short brown hair; he initially wears a white shirt and blue trousers, later adding a light blue undershirt and sneakers in *Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!*.

Coco demonstrates kindness and protectiveness, especially towards Yumehara Nozomi. He presents wisdom and calmness as a human but exhibits greater energy as a fairy. He readily sacrifices his safety for others, even revealing his true form to aid innocents, though he becomes stern when confronting wrongdoing. His relationship with Nozomi evolves from friendship to romance. In *Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!*, he confesses his feelings for her. During the movie *Okashi no Kuni no Happy Birthday*, when she breaks his brainwashing, they share an on-screen kiss. This relationship culminates in marriage in the sequel *Kibou no Chikara ~Otona Pretty Cure '23~*, where he balances kingship with their life together.

In *Okashi no Kuni no Happy Birthday*, Coco accompanies Nozomi and others to the Dessert Kingdom for her birthday. There, antagonist Mushiban brainwashes him into serving as a knight, forcing him to fight against Cure Dream. Nozomi breaks the brainwashing with a kiss, restoring his true self and allowing him to help defeat Mushiban. Beyond this movie, his story includes reconciling with allies like Syrup after past misunderstandings and rejecting a childhood engagement to Princess Crepe due to cultural misinterpretations, preserving their friendship.

As king of the rebuilt Palmier Kingdom, Coco gains the power to summon the Cure Fleurets for the Pretty Cure team using the Palmier crown. In *Kibou no Chikara*, diplomatic crises like water shortages in the Donuts Kingdom initially prevent him from visiting Nozomi. Learning she has resumed Cure Dream activities and faces dangers, he moves to Earth, rents an apartment adjacent to hers, and supports her through conflicts involving Shadows and Time Flowers. He later proposes upon her recovery from a coma, and they marry while he continues managing inter-kingdom affairs.

His abilities include transforming between fairy and human forms, though maintaining the human form strains him. The Palmier crown grants him tactical support powers for the Cures. While brainwashed in *Okashi no Kuni no Happy Birthday*, he temporarily employs combat skills similar to Pretty Cure, launching energy spheres, though the power source remains unspecified.
