Isami Aldini, fraternal twin to Takumi Aldini, hails from a Japanese-Italian family operating Italy’s Trattoria Aldini. Though frequently surpassing his brother in non-culinary pursuits during their youth, he grappled with an inferiority complex after their father chastised him for modifying one of Takumi’s dishes. This incident ignited his resolve to refine his cooking, culminating in his pivotal role at the family restaurant. Guided by their uncle’s advice, he and Takumi joined Tōtsuki Culinary Academy’s 92nd Generation to sharpen their talents. Isami’s physique shifts seasonally, slimming in summer and gaining bulk in winter, accentuating his resemblance to Takumi when lean—though his untamed hair remains distinct. His relaxed, lighthearted demeanor contrasts Takumi’s driven intensity, balancing their dynamic with playful teasing and unwavering support. A master of the mezzaluna, he wields the curved blade with exacting skill, mirroring his brother’s fervor for culinary excellence. His cooking merges Italian and Japanese traditions, showcased in creations like the Curry Bread Calzone during the Tōtsuki Autumn Election. Preferring teamwork, he frequently partners with Takumi in challenges yet thrives independently. Defeat during the Autumn Election propelled him to confront lingering insecurities, driving him to refine his craft until securing a seat on Tōtsuki’s Elite Ten Council by his third year. In the Regimént de Cuisine and BLUE tournaments, he allied with rebels opposing Azami Nakiri’s regime and later thwarted Le Cuisine Noir. While external factors occasionally separated the twins during team events, their partnership remained foundational. Post-graduation, he sustains Trattoria Aldini’s legacy while pursuing innovative culinary ventures, harmonizing family duties with his evolving ambitions.
