Akira Himegami, a high school student emerging from cryogenic sleep after 200 years, awakens to a world reshaped by conflict and governed by the organization OWEL. Traditional societal frameworks like marriage have been discarded in favor of a new system designated "Elsie" or "LC".

Before his long slumber, Akira confessed his feelings to Towasa Ōmaki—a relationship that anchors his purpose in this unfamiliar future. His awakening plunges him into profound disorientation as he struggles to grasp the radical societal and environmental transformations.

Shortly after rousing, Akira encounters Yuugure, an android strikingly reminiscent of Towasa. Yuugure unexpectedly proposes marriage to him. Despite confusion and shock at this offer, Akira agrees to journey alongside Yuugure. His choice is fueled by an unwavering hope that Towasa might still survive somewhere in this altered world, driving his early actions.

Traveling with Yuugure, Akira confronts evolving expressions of love and human connection under OWEL's Elsie system. These experiences compel him to reflect deeply on his bond with Yuugure and his enduring ties to Towasa.
