Gokurō Tokishiro awakens disoriented in an interrogation room, stripped of all memory regarding his identity or how he came to be there. A young female detective confronts him, conducting a harsh and aggressive interrogation. When her efforts yield no results, she departs in frustration. Moments later, an intruder enters the room and stabs Gokurō to death. Upon dying, he instantly awakens once more in the same interrogation room, suggesting the onset of a recurring time loop or reset phenomenon.
