Her personality is bubbly, energetic, and prone to playful teasing, making her a social catalyst at Polar Star. Despite her lighthearted nature, she displays competitiveness in cooking challenges and strong loyalty to friends, particularly a deep desire to maintain unity among the 92nd Generation dorm residents. This protectiveness leads her to physically reprimand Sōma Yukihira after his risky duel to defend Megumi Tadokoro at the Training Camp. She habitually adds "-cchi" to favored individuals' names and shows sensitivity about her physical development compared to peers. Her culinary specialty is game meat cuisine. To support this, she raises ducks, rabbits, deer, and wild boars within her dorm room and harbors ambition to breed her own proprietary chicken lineage. Her story begins at the 92nd Generation Orientation Ceremony with Ryōko Sakaki. She participates in welcoming Sōma Yukihira to Polar Star. At the Tōtsuki Friendship and Rapport Training Camp, she faces the grueling challenges alongside her peers. She locates the missing Sōma and Megumi after their confrontation with Kojirō Shinomiya, reacting strongly to Sōma's expulsion risk. She successfully completes the demanding breakfast buffet challenge on the camp's fourth day. After the camp, she witnesses Megumi Tadokoro's academic achievement and learns of her provisional Autumn Election selection. Both Yoshino and Ryōko Sakaki later secure confirmed slots in the Autumn Election. She participates in the Regiment de Cuisine as part of the rebel faction team opposing Azami Nakiri's Central administration. Following the rebellion's victory, she advances to her second year at Tōtsuki. Within the dormitory, she shares close friendships with Ryōko Sakaki and Megumi Tadokoro, coordinating cheerleading efforts for Megumi during the Autumn Election semifinals. She also interacts supportively with other Polar Star residents like Shun Ibusaki and Zenji Marui.
