Description
Shingo Fujita is a participant in the Liar Game tournament. He is a young man, reported to be either a high school student or a university student, and is 21 years old. He first appears during the second round of the game, where his nameplate number is 13. Physically, Fujita has gray or black hair that reaches his collar and nearly touches his nose, which he brushes aside to avoid covering his eyes. His eye color is gray.

In terms of personality, Fujita comes across as a quiet and inconspicuous individual. He has a gentle and humble demeanor, which has led to comparisons as a male version of the protagonist Nao Kanzaki, though he lacks her unwavering, honest resolve. Unlike Nao, Fujita is more easily influenced by the atmosphere and pressure of the group. He tends to go along with the decisions of others, even when those decisions are questionable or passive, as seen when he complies with a takeover plot led by another player, Kikuzawa, and when he follows a hesitant suggestion from a teammate named Tsunoda. Despite this passivity, he is fundamentally a cooperative and supportive team player. He is consistently polite, addressing almost all other players with the honorific "san," regardless of whether they are allies or enemies. The only exception is Kanzaki, whom he affectionately calls "Nao-chan".

Fujita's primary role in the story is as a supporting member of a large alliance formed with players including Yuji Fukunaga and Nao Kanzaki. While he does not make grand strategic plays or stand out as a leader, his contributions are significant in a more subtle, behind-the-scenes manner. His most notable ability is his meticulous habit of keeping written records of the games' progress. He is often seen taking notes on paper, documenting the events and transactions as they unfold. These notes prove to be an invaluable resource for his team, especially during the complex smuggling game. Both Akiyama and Fukunaga are shown relying on the information from his memos, making him a crucial support player, or unsung hero, who helps hold the team together through diligent observation and record-keeping.

Throughout the tournament, Fujita progresses through several stages. He loses in the second round at the first question but is able to continue by proceeding to the revival round. He subsequently fights alongside Nao and the others through the third round as well. His development is not a dramatic transformation but rather a quiet persistence. He remains a reliable, if unassuming, member of the group, demonstrating that not every player needs to be a genius deceiver to be of value; a calm and methodical approach can also be a critical asset. His journey highlights the importance of loyalty and meticulous work in an environment built on betrayal and chaos.
