Description
Ceras Yanagida Lilienfeld is a character from the Love Live! Hasu no Sora Jogakuin School Idol Club storyline, initially introduced as a rival before becoming a main member of the school idol club. She is a first-year high school student enrolled as part of the 105th generation at Hasunosora Girls' High School.

Ceras has a distinctive personal background that shapes her character. She is of Japanese and German descent, with her surname Lilienfeld referencing a location in Austria. She was born on June 26 and stands 153 centimeters tall. Her childhood was marked by a weak constitution that led to frequent hospitalizations, a period during which she formed a deep bond with another patient, Kaho Hinoshita. The two became close friends during their shared time in the hospital, establishing a connection that remains central to her story.

Her early dream was to become a professional violinist, but her inability to consistently attend lessons due to her health issues made this goal seem unattainable. This feeling of falling behind her peers contributed to a sense of loneliness after Kaho was discharged from the hospital. A turning point came when the Mizukawa school idol club performed at the hospital. While she was initially resistant to their message about pursuing dreams, her perspective changed when they invited her to become a school idol herself, an opportunity that felt accessible regardless of her circumstances.

Ceras is characterized by a soft-spoken and gentle demeanor, but beneath this quiet exterior lies a determined and hardworking individual. She has a playful side and enjoys joking with her childhood friend Kaho, who affectionately calls her Secchan. Ceras, in turn, refers to Kaho as Hana-chan and has stated that Kaho holds a special place in her life. Despite having a healthy rivalry with Kaho in competitions, she remains supportive of her friend's successes while still striving to win herself. She has a tendency to exaggerate to gain attention and enjoys teasing others, including fellow club member Ginko Momose. Her love for school idols is so strong that she often finds herself thinking about them even during class.

Initially, Ceras attends Mizukawa Girls' School附属中学校 as a third-year middle school student. Although she is part of the same school's idol club as Izumi Katsuragi, she begins in a behind-the-scenes role, not participating in performances. Her primary role in this period is managing the club, creating training regimens, booking practice times, and providing support like massages and sauna appointments for Izumi to relieve stress. Her ultimate goal becomes winning the Love Live! competition, a victory she believes is necessary to save her school from closure. To achieve this, she travels extensively, visiting nearly three hundred schools to recruit members before finally securing Izumi Katsuragi's help in Tokyo, promising Izumi everything in return for her assistance.

Ceras's relationship with Izumi Katsuragi is a cornerstone of her development. The two form the school idol duo known as Edel Note. Her journey sees her transition from a non-performing manager to a full-fledged performer. Thanks to a petition championed by Kaho, she is permitted to perform alongside Izumi in the Love Live! finals tiebreaker. Following Mizukawa's closure regardless of the competition's outcome, she and Izumi transfer to Hasunosora Girls' High School as first-year students, joining the school idol club and repaying the kindness they received. At Hasunosora, she becomes a member of the special sub-unit AiScReam and her image color is rise scarlet.

Beyond her musical talents, Ceras enjoys watching horror movies and is skilled at imitation. She also has the ability to keep herself well-occupied, a skill likely honed during her time in the hospital. Her appearance is characterized by light blue eyes and grey-white, wavy hair that falls just past her shoulders, which she often pulls back with salmon pink ribbons. While she once dreamed of being a violinist, she now claims playing the violin is simply a hobby. Her personal motto reflects a belief in eventual success after hardship, akin to the saying great talents mature late.
