Baython is a supporting character in the Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 episode Screecher's Reach. He is a teenage companion of the episode's protagonist, Daal, and is part of her close-knit circle of friends, which also includes Quinn and Keena. Like the others, Baython is a child laborer, working in poor conditions at a factory and farm, but the group finds solace in their shared friendship.

In the group, Baython naturally assumes the role of an older brother figure. He is portrayed as being more content with their current life compared to Daal, who yearns for adventure and something beyond their daily existence. Despite his own contentment, Baython is deeply supportive of Daal's restless ambition. During a conversation while the group sets up camp before exploring the haunted cave known as Screecher's Reach, he offers her poignant and consequential advice. Sensing her frustration and desire for more, he tells her, "Daal, you've always wanted something more. And if you ever get the chance to find out what that is, take it. Don't look back".

This advice cements Baython's role as a catalyst for Daal's fate. His words echo in her mind during the episode's climax, when she is forced to choose between staying with her friends or leaving her planet to become the Sith apprentice of a mysterious figure known as the Sith Mother. Although Daal looks back in fear as the door to the Sith Mother's ship closes, it is Baython's encouragement to seize an opportunity and not look back that she ultimately follows, leading to her betrayal of the group. Baython does not possess any notable Force abilities or combat skills; his primary function in the story is as an emotional anchor for Daal, whose practical and heartfelt support has tragic, unintended consequences.
