ONA
Description
Majin Ozotto, also known as the Super Monster, is a demonic entity who serves as a major antagonist in the Super Dragon Ball Heroes franchise. The character was originally created by Akira Toriyama for the 1994 arcade game Dragon Ball Z: V.R.V.S. and later reintroduced as the primary villain of the Demon Invader Saga in Super Dragon Ball Heroes. Although Ozotto did not appear in the original Dragon Ball manga, he was mentioned on a chapter cover as a promotional advertisement for the V.R.V.S. game. Concept art reveals that Ozotto bears a strong resemblance to one of the early, unused designs for the character Cell, suggesting his visual motif was recycled from that source.
In terms of appearance, Ozotto is a tall, humanoid demon with exaggerated proportions. He has long limbs, broad shoulders, narrow hips, pink skin, and a shiny black carapace covering parts of his body. His face features three red eyes and two large horns protruding from the sides of his head. He possesses a long, spike-tipped tail and claws on his hands and feet. A later-revealed true form is far more massive and rotund, featuring four arms and a large red eye on his stomach. His design also shows elements reminiscent of Frieza in his second form and the pink, planet-devouring nature of Majin Buu.
Ozotto is characterized as a shady, selfish, and cunning demon who is primarily concerned with his own well-being and power. He is not driven by loyalty or grand ideology but by a constant hunger for greater strength. He is crafty in battle, frequently using tricks and deception to gain the upper hand on opponents rather than relying solely on raw force. His ultimate motivation is to challenge and consume powerful fighters, absorbing their abilities and characteristics into himself for personal gain. This desire for power is absolute; he seeks an undying and unaging body, wishes to surpass even the gods, and is willing to betray temporary allies the moment a better opportunity presents itself.
Ozotto's role in the story spans multiple sagas of Super Dragon Ball Heroes. He initially appears during the Prison Planet Saga, where he is imprisoned on the Prison Planet by the enigmatic Fu and given a Special Dragon Ball. During this time, he consumes numerous prisoners, including alternate versions of Androids. He offers temporary assistance to Goku and his allies against the Evil Saiyan Cumber, but his true goal is to steal the Dragon Balls and make a wish for himself. In the manga continuity, he attempts to wish for an immortal body, but his wish is stolen by Oolong. In the game version, he successfully wishes to be transported off the planet. During the Universal Conflict Saga, Ozotto reappears to absorb the glass-wielding warrior Lagss, gaining her unique powers. His most significant role comes as the main antagonist of the Demon Invader Saga, where he begins systematically hunting gods and powerful beings across the universe. He consumes the entire planet Earth and its inhabitants, travels to King Kai's Planet to devour the North Kai, and proceeds to absorb major characters such as Piccolo, Gohan, and even the villain Hearts.
Key relationships for Ozotto are primarily defined by his predatory nature. He views all other characters as potential meals to be consumed for their power. He has no true allies, only temporary conveniences. Fu is the one who imprisons him on the Prison Planet, but Ozotto acts solely in his own interest. He absorbs a wide range of individuals, including Lagss to gain glass manipulation, Hearts to gain mind-reading abilities, and a version of Majin Buu to gain regeneration and cloning powers. His victims also include numerous gods such as Shin, Kibito, the Elder Kai, and for a time, the Supreme Kai of Time, Chronoa.
Throughout the Demon Invader Saga, Ozotto undergoes significant development as a threat. He evolves from a scheming opportunist into a near-cataclysmic force capable of consuming entire planets. He learns to use the various abilities he has stolen in creative and devastating combinations, such as using Lagss's glass to maim opponents or Hearts's mind-reading to anticipate attacks. His power becomes so vast that he can create numerous clones of himself, though each clone is weaker than the original. He scatters these clones across the cosmos to hunt powerful beings, planning to eventually recombine them to achieve even greater power. His ultimate form is a gargantuan being whose body contains a separate spacetime pocket dimension, making him incredibly difficult to destroy from the inside.
Ozotto possesses a wide array of notable abilities. His primary and most defining power is absorption. By consuming a being, he can permanently take on their physical form and add their abilities to his own arsenal. This includes not only energy attacks but also unique physiological traits like regeneration and cloning. He is a master shapeshifter, able to transform into anyone he has absorbed and use their signature techniques, from the Kamehameha to the Destructo Disc. He can open space-time portals for instant travel, use his third eye to create powerful explosions, and even steal objects like Dragon Balls from a distance. After absorbing a version of Majin Buu, he gained the ability to split himself into multiple clones and regenerate from injuries, though he notes that this regeneration consumes energy and cannot be used endlessly. In his most powerful state, Ozotto can create a pocket reality within his own body, disguise it as a grand palace to trap opponents, and exist as a being whose true core is hidden in a separate dimension, making him nearly immortal and requiring immense power to finally defeat.
