ONA
Description
Hikaru Hizashi, known as Hikaru Asahi in the original Japanese version, is one of the two main protagonists of Beyblade Burst Surge alongside his younger brother, Hyuga. He returns in Beyblade Burst QuadStrike as a participant in Wakiya's Battle Camp and the subsequent Lodestar Battle Tournament.

Hikaru has a distinctive appearance, featuring slightly tanned skin, lime-green eyes, and smooth blue hair styled in a nine-piece mohawk with light-blue tips. He has an orange half-sun tattooed on his right cheek. His typical attire includes a turquoise-blue dress shirt with a yellow tie, a short-sleeved navy-blue Letterman's jacket with light-blue accents and an H on the left flap, orange baggy pants, and black sneakers with turquoise and yellow details. When resonating with his Beyblade, his hair briefly lights up like blue fire.

In contrast to his younger brother Hyuga, who is known for his reckless and head-on battling style, Hikaru is generally calm, patient, and level-headed. He prefers to analyze his opponents and develop strategic plans to defeat them, acting as the voice of reason for his brother. While he is mature, serious, and determined, he can occasionally be immature and slightly arrogant. He possesses a moderate level of confidence and sometimes refers to himself as a hero, showing a selfless and protective nature, particularly toward his younger brother. Hikaru is deeply loyal to his family and friends, though he can also display self-absorbed tendencies on occasion.

Hikaru and his brother have been involved with Beyblade for at least two years prior to the events of Surge, with Hikaru having been inspired by Aiger Akabane during a title match. After moving to the Hizashi Family Restaurant, they joined the struggling Comets Gym, vowing to help rebuild the team. His journey includes training under Valt Aoi at BC Sol to master the Lightning Launch technique and facing powerful opponents such as Lain Valhalla, who destroyed his original Beyblade, Kolossal Helios.

In Beyblade Burst QuadStrike, Hikaru battles alongside his new Quad Beyblade, Komet Helios Fyquor-Q Planet-Q+Zeal-2. He competes in the Battle Camp on Battle Island, where he is shown to be a formidable blader, winning his match against Pri Forsythe.

Hikaru holds deep admiration for legendary bladers like Aiger Akabane and Valt Aoi, who served as his inspiration to start blading. He shares a strong but sometimes contentious bond with his younger brother Hyuga, often getting annoyed by Hyuga's recklessness but remaining deeply protective and supportive of him. The two brothers, despite their clashing styles, work effectively as a team, utilizing combination moves such as the Twin Strike.

Throughout the series, Hikaru evolves from a confident and slightly arrogant blader into a more collaborative and mature competitor, though he retains his strong drive to win. After the destruction of his original Beyblade by Lain Valhalla, he demonstrates resilience by evolving it into Helios Blazebringer, incorporating a Limit Breaker system. His development is marked by his dedication to training, his willingness to learn from defeats, and his growing ability to work in sync with his brother.

Hikaru is a left-handed blader who favors a Balance-type Beyblade. He is known for mastering the Lightning Launch, a technique achieved through complete synchronization with his Beyblade, which grants a temporary increase in speed and power. His notable special moves include Whirl Counter, where his Beyblade drifts in a circle to gain speed before attacking; Kolossal Strike, which uses centrifugal force to deal massive damage; and Twin Strike, a synchronized attack performed with his brother Hyuga. With his Limit Breaker Beyblade, he can execute Blazing Limit Breaker, which transforms the Beyblade's shape to reveal additional blades that reflect damage back at opponents. In QuadStrike, he utilizes moves such as Planet Counter and Solar Launch with his Komet Helios Beyblade.
