ONA
Description
The God of Destruction Anthrasax is a central figure of immense power and terror within the narrative of Bastard!! While commonly referred to as a demon god, her true nature is a product of science rather than magic. She is an artificial being, a biomechanical construct created through the combined efforts of scientists, magicians, and alchemists who sought to end all wars. Intended as the ultimate weapon, she is the most powerful of the created Demon Gods, but she ultimately acted on her own free will, turning against her creators and declaring war on humanity.

In terms of physical appearance, Anthrasax is a colossal, chimeric entity the size of a small mountain. Her design is biomechanical, a horrifying mound of flesh and machinery adorned with spikes and horns rising from her back. Her most striking feature is her two faces: one is the face of a monstrous demon, split in half to reveal the second face of a beautiful woman, with the demonic parts situated above and below the woman's features.

Her history is one of apocalyptic destruction. After turning on humanity, she brought civilization to the brink of total annihilation. The legendary Dragon Knight rose to stop her, and their ten-day battle was so violent that it shifted the planet's axis. The Dragon Knight ultimately defeated her and buried her deep underground, trapping her with four powerful seals. For centuries, she slept beneath the Kingdom of Judas, chained and dormant. Her awakening and release become a primary goal for the Dark Rebel Army, who seek to unseal her to reshape the world. The narrative arc known as Hell's Requiem centers on the holy war over her final seal.

Anthrasax's motivations are not complex; she is a force of pure, malevolent destruction. After her creation, she exhibited a will of her own, using her immense telepathic powers to communicate with other Demon Gods and impose her will upon mankind. She is a massively feared being, such that merely mentioning her name can incite panic across a planet's population. She does not seek conquest or dominion in a political sense, but rather seems driven to consume, destroy, and increase her own power, even consuming the souls of the dead to grow stronger.

Within the story, Anthrasax serves as the ultimate existential threat. Her sleeping body is the prize that various factions fight over. The Dark Rebel Army, particularly the Divine King Kall-Su, seeks to break the final seal to unleash her upon the world once more. Princess Sheila holds the key to this final seal, making her a primary target for the antagonists. Anthrasax is not merely a weapon; her presence has a profound effect on the world. Her awakening and the evil waves she emits resonate with those connected to darkness, most notably the sorcerer Dark Schneider, restoring his magic and powering him up. In a significant turn, her eventual defeat does not bring peace, as her death creates an opening for angels to materialize in the physical world.

Key relationships define her role. She is directly opposed to the Dragon Knight, who sealed her away in the distant past. In the present, her existence is intrinsically linked to the main protagonist, Dark Schneider, whose power is amplified by her influence. Her cells also have potent properties; they can be implanted into other creatures, such as the undead weapon Vivian, granting them incredible regenerative abilities. This demonstrates that her influence extends beyond her physical form.

Anthrasax possesses a terrifying array of abilities befitting a god of destruction. She can fire immensely powerful magical energy beams from her mouth and can create or summon numerous flesh creatures that can also fire similar laser-like beams when she is at full power. She is a massively powerful telepath, capable of projecting her image across vast distances to communicate. Her control over the physical world is extensive, allowing her to manipulate gravity for flight or to lift large portions of the earth, control the weather, and generate highly destructive ultrasonic waves. She can use defensive barrier spells like Coat and can trap beings of darkness in an alternate dimension using Dimensional Confinement. Her most terrifying trait may be her ability to increase the power of those born in darkness and to consume the souls of the dead to fuel her own strength. Information regarding her personality, motivations, and development beyond her role as a destructive force is limited, as she is portrayed less as a character with evolving psychology and more as a cataclysmic event given form. Her actions are driven by an inherent, apocalyptic will rather than personal growth or change.
