Description
Nikita, alias Niccolo, is an anthropomorphic rabbit whose identity as a roving merchant masks a talent for opportunism. Driven by a conviction that his deals spread joy, he swindles customers like Kristie, Sotherbee, and Teapo with inflated prices or cunning deceptions, whether peddling overpriced relics or coercing lopsided bargains. His ventures frequently pit him against Sproutlings and Flowerlings—entities he scorns yet underestimates, as when a Flowerling’s psychokinesis foils his capture attempt in Mindas Ruins, leaving him scrambling through warped portals to flee.

Though avarice defines him, fate often mocks his schemes: a fall from a Cajun Bird’s nest induces amnesia, temporarily softening him into aiding Kristie and Sotherbee selflessly until his mercenary instincts resurface. This duality extends across realms. In *Trials of Mana*, he evolves from Merchant Cat to thieves’ guild ally, liberating Hawkeye from captivity and aiding quests. As Nicco in *Echoes of Mana*, he hawks a ramshackle boat until interrupted, upholding a lineage of itinerant traders fixated on profit yet sporadically enabling heroism, such as guiding dungeon expeditions.

His exploits in *Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal* epitomize his craft—extracting 300 Lucre from Shiloh in a roadside haggle, dodging repayment, or stumbling into faerie pranks that expose his blindness to magic. Each misadventure cements his legacy as a chimeric figure: part charlatan, part accidental savior, forever balancing lucre and ludicrous peril, his heritage as a wheeler-dealer echoing through every deal struck and narrow escape made.
