ONA
Description
Nao is a young boy who visits the Pokémon Resort as a guest. He is shy and reserved, characteristics that are mirrored by his Pikachu, which is quiet and not very social compared to most other Pikachu. Nao's main motivation during his stay is to help his Pikachu fit in and have a good time, but he initially feels pressure because his partner does not behave like the more energetic Pikachu around the resort. In the story, Nao appears in the episode "Welcome to the Pokémon Resort!" and his arc centers on the theme of accepting differences. He forms a brief but meaningful connection with the main character Haru, who reassures him that it is okay for Pokémon to have unique personalities. Through her guidance and by observing other Pokémon at the resort with their own quirks, Nao learns to appreciate his Pikachu just the way it is, gaining confidence in himself and his bond with his partner. Nao does not display any notable battle abilities or special talents; his role is primarily emotional and thematic, highlighting the importance of understanding and patience in the relationship between a trainer and their Pokémon.
