Description
Lilith is the queen of Forest Land and a supporting character in Sand Land: The Series. She was created as a new character for the anime adaptation and the franchise's video game, expanding on the original story. She is the daughter of Lucifer, the king of fiends, and the older sister of Beelzebub, the demon prince. As a powerful demon, Lilith possesses formidable abilities, with Beelzebub himself acknowledging that she is stronger than him.

Lilith is portrayed as calm, patient, and levelheaded, a stark contrast to the more aggressive temperaments of her father and brother. Her personality is defined by a gentle and compassionate nature, which led her to fall in love with a human. She married King Jam of Forest Land and became its queen, and she later gave birth to their daughter, Ann.

Lilith's primary motivation is to protect her family and her kingdom. This is best demonstrated by her discovery of Aquanium, a powerful stone from the era of the great war that contains explosive energy capable of leveling vast landscapes. Fearing that Supreme Commander Bred might use the stone to start a war, she and King Jam decided to entrust the Aquanium to her father, Lucifer, for safekeeping. Taking the stone to her father in Sand Land, she was witnessed flying in her demonic form by Bred. This event was used by Muniel to manipulate Bred into leading a coup to depose King Jam. When Lilith confronted Muniel, she easily overpowered him but was ultimately defeated and sealed away inside his powerful urn. She remained trapped in the urn for ten years, missing for all that time.

Lilith's role in the story is a major one, even though much of her story occurs in flashback. Her actions and her imprisonment serve as a crucial piece of the narrative, directly motivating Ann, Beelzebub, and their allies. Her relationship with Ann is a key emotional core, as Ann's quest to understand the truth about her mother drives much of the later plot. The revelation of Lilith's identity as a demon and her sealing at the hands of Muniel exposes the corruption at the heart of Forest Land's new leadership. She represents a peaceful bridge between the demon and human worlds, and her fate serves as the catalyst for the conflict that the protagonists must resolve.
