Description
Colt Grice lived in Marley's Liberio Internment Zone as an Eldian and served as a Warrior Cadet. He was the older brother of Falco Grice. Their family's disgrace stemmed from their uncle's association with the Eldian Restorationists, compelling both brothers to join the Warrior program and prove their loyalty to Marley. Colt was chosen to inherit the Beast Titan from Zeke Yeager, securing his family's safety but burdening him with anxiety about meeting Zeke's legacy.
Standing 180 cm tall and weighing 65 kg, Colt possessed a tall, fit build, a long face, light hazel eyes, and short blond or light brown hair. He wore the standard Marleyan military uniform adapted for Eldians, featuring a star insignia on his collar and helmet stripe, and always displayed the mandatory Eldian armband.
As a soldier, Colt demonstrated dedication and tactical thinking, strategizing under fire and advocating for safer plans to preserve lives. He exhibited bravery rescuing Falco during the Mid-East Allied Forces conflict, shielding him from enemy fire and securing medical aid. However, during downtime, he showed irresponsibility, frequently overindulging in alcohol and suffering severe hangovers that required assistance from comrades like Porco Galliard. Protecting Falco was his core motivation; he openly desired to prevent his brother from inheriting a Titan and its shortened lifespan.
Colt participated in the assault on Fort Slava and attended military briefings regarding Paradis Island. He admired Zeke's leadership and practiced catching baseballs with him to prepare for inheriting the Beast Titan. At the Liberio festival, he observed international dignitaries prior to Eren Yeager's attack. During the ensuing chaos, he attempted to protect fellow Warrior Cadets Udo and Gabi but failed to prevent Udo's death. He searched desperately for Falco, ultimately witnessing him and Gabi stow away on an enemy airship.
During Marley's retaliatory invasion of Paradis Island, Colt parachuted into Shiganshina. Learning Falco had ingested Zeke's spinal fluid and risked Titan transformation, Colt and Gabi located Falco imprisoned by Paradis soldiers and fled to an abandoned building. Discovering Falco's indirect role in Eren's Liberio attack, Colt prioritized reaching Zeke to plead for Falco's exemption. He confronted Zeke, explained Falco's condition, and begged him to delay the transformation scream. Zeke expressed sympathy but proceeded, activating the transformation. Colt embraced Falco, vowing never to leave him, and died instantly in the blast. His relationships were defined by unwavering devotion to Falco, mentorship under Zeke blending admiration with insecurity, and camaraderie with Warrior Cadets like Gabi Braun and Porco Galliard reflecting mutual respect despite operational tensions.
