Movie
Description
The part-time worker is a minor supporting character who appears at a small general store in the Indian city of Mushibai, the destination of the Kasukabe Defense Force's prize trip. He is a young local employee working at this modest shop, presented without any particular distinction or prominence, and he blends into the setting as an ordinary retail worker going about his daily duties.

His background is not explored beyond his job. He is simply an employee of the establishment, and his manner is unremarkable and understated, which matches his low-key place in the film. He has very little dialogue, and at several points his presence is conveyed almost entirely through his reactions and the sounds he makes rather than through spoken lines, giving him the quality of an ordinary hired helper who is slightly overwhelmed by the strange customers who wander into his shop.

His main role in the story comes when Shinnosuke and Bo-chan enter the store during their sightseeing. It is in this shop, with the part-time worker presiding over the counter, that the two boys discover and purchase a backpack shaped like a nose. That item carries the terrifying secret that later transforms Bo-chan, so the part-time worker's shop effectively serves as the unremarkable starting point where the film's central conflict is set in motion. He does not appear to be aware of the object's dangerous nature, and he treats the transaction as a routine sale to two ordinary visitors.

In terms of relationships, his interaction is limited to a brief customer exchange with Shinnosuke and Bo-chan. He has no meaningful connection to the other characters and does not reappear in any significant capacity once the children leave the store. He shows no particular motivation beyond performing his job, and he displays no special abilities or talents; he is characterized entirely by the ordinariness of his position. Consequently, he undergoes no development over the course of the film, remaining a small background figure whose single notable function is to be present at the moment the story's crucial object changes hands.
