Description
Kord Gleis, a tall Eldian Warrior Candidate with short blond hair and amber eyes, served in the Marleyan military destined to inherit the Titan Bestial. He wore the mandatory Eldian armband outside and displayed intense devotion to Marley and his superiors, coupled with a fiercely protective bond for his younger brother, Falco Gleis.

At the Battle of Fort Slava, Kord shielded an unconscious Falco from enemy fire, placing his own helmet on him and carrying him to trenches. He reported the first regiment's destruction to Captain Theo Magath, urging a tactical retreat due to infantry vulnerability against Slava's armored train. Kord proposed deploying the Jaw and Cart Titans for a rapid assault, but Magath refused, citing anti-Titan artillery risks. Kord accepted this after Magath invoked his future Titan Bestial role. He witnessed Gabi Braun destroy the train and Porco Galliard rescue Falco and Gabi. Kord later suggested recalling troops for aerial unit transition, aiding Marley's victory.

After four years of war, Kord returned to Liberio. During post-ceasefire talks at Fort Slava, he admired Zeke Yeager's capacity to advise Marleyan leaders as an Eldian. Kord questioned Zeke about the royal bloodline; Zeke replied that inheriting the Titan Bestial would unveil truth through memories. On the train home, Kord drank heavily despite low tolerance, enthusiastically praising Gabi's combat skills with other Eldian soldiers. Arriving in Liberio severely hungover, he needed Porco's help to walk and pleaded with Gabi to lower her voice during her excited return. Their parents greeted them, Kord's father expressing concern over his son's state, unaware it resulted from intoxication.

Kord attended strategic briefings where Zeke outlined plans involving the Tybur family and War Hammer Titan. In a Warrior Unit meeting acknowledging Gabi as the favored Armored Titan inheritor, Kord voiced anxiety when Porco suggested Falco might qualify; Zeke dismissed this as fraternal protectiveness.

On the evening of Willy Tybur's declaration of war, Kord located Falco before the speech. He sat with Gabi, Udo, and Sophia in the auditorium. When Eren Yeager's Attack Titan attacked, structural debris crushed Sophia. Amid panic, Kord pulled Gabi from the stampeding crowd while trying to restrain Udo from aiding Sophia. Udo broke free, was trampled, and sustained fatal skull and neck injuries. Kord carried Udo's body toward a hospital alongside Gabi, expressing hope for Falco's survival. Medical staff confirmed Udo's death among overwhelming casualties, prompting Gabi to flee toward the battle. Kord later reunited with Falco and Gabi but died shortly afterward in the conflict.
