Description
Jun Minoru is a character from the 1996 Japanese live-action film Fudoh: The New Generation, portrayed by actress Marie Jinno. She is introduced as a beautiful and mysterious woman who arrives at the high school attended by the protagonist, Riki Fudoh, posing as a new English teacher to replace one who was recently killed by Riki's gang. Her outward appearance as a composed and alluring educator conceals a deeper connection to the central conflict.

Her background is closely tied to the Fudoh family's tragic history. It is revealed that Jun was the girlfriend of Riki's older brother, Ryu, who was murdered by their father, Iwao Fudoh, a decade before the film's events. Furthermore, she is the daughter of a yakuza boss from the Ashura clan, which positions her as a natural enemy of the Yasha-gumi organization led by the antagonist Daigen Nohma. These connections form the foundation of her motivations; she is driven by a personal vendetta against the yakuza hierarchy that destroyed her relationship and has a vested interest in seeing the downfall of the powerful men responsible.

In the story, Jun Minoru serves as a key ally to Riki. Upon meeting him at his home, she discloses her past with his late brother and offers her assistance in his campaign of revenge against their mutual enemies. Her role becomes critical during a climactic confrontation. After Riki is ambushed and nearly killed by his own half-brother, Gon, a former agent sent by their father to assassinate him, Jun arrives and fatally shoots Gon, saving Riki's life. This act solidifies her as more than just a love interest or informant, positioning her as an active participant in the violent resolution of the plot. She is present alongside Riki and his remaining lieutenant at the film's conclusion, facing the final threat of Daigen Nohma at Iwao Fudoh's funeral.

The key relationship for Jun Minoru is with Riki Fudoh, whom she supports in his war against the yakuza. Her history is defined by her relationship with his deceased brother, Ryu, and her status as a yakuza daughter explains her knowledge of the underworld and her motivation for revenge. Regarding her development, Jun Minoru arrives with a hidden agenda but commits to direct action, culminating in her decisive killing of Gon to protect Riki. She demonstrates little to no notable superhuman or martial arts abilities beyond the ability to handle a firearm effectively in a moment of crisis. Her primary strengths are her intelligence, her deceptive cover identity as a teacher, and her resolute will to see her revenge through.
