Masako Kamiki is the mother of the Kamiki family in the horror story Sayuri. She is the wife of Akio Kamiki and the mother of their children: Keiko, Norio, and Shun, and she lives with her mother-in-law Harue and father-in-law Kitaro. In a final act of surrender to the haunting, she strangles herself with an electrical cord, leaving only Norio and Harue alive. Her role in the story is that of a loving mother who is ultimately crushed by the supernatural forces her family cannot escape.
