Description
Haruka Mizusawa is a central character introduced as a young man of around twenty years of age who has spent his entire sheltered life inside a single room, unaware of his true nature as a synthetic being. Created by the pharmaceutical executive Reika Mizusawa, he is not a human who received Amazon cells nor a pure Amazon, but a unique third-type Amazon: an entity crafted from Amazon cells into which human genetic material was transplanted. Reika used her own DNA as the template, making Haruka, in a biological sense, her equivalent of a亲生儿子. His memory only spans two years back from the start of his journey, and he initially believes he is simply a frail human who requires daily injections to survive. His quiet, introverted, and gentle personality is reflected in his hobby of raising tropical fish in a large tank, finding kinship in their isolated, contained existence.

Haruka's transformation into Kamen Rider Amazon Omega begins after he chooses to stop his daily suppressor injections, an act of rebellion against his controlled life. This decision awakens his Amazonian instincts and draws him into a world of violent conflict between humans and his own kind. His core personality is defined by a profound empathy and a desire to protect all life, whether human or Amazon, which contrasts sharply with the genocidal mission of his predecessor, Jin Takayama, who transforms into Kamen Rider Amazon Alpha (the Wild type). While Jin believes all Amazons must be exterminated to protect humanity, Haruka clings to the ideal of coexistence, refusing to hunt innocent Amazons who do not harm people. This stance makes him a contradictory figure: a pacifist at heart forced to fight with monstrous power. Despite his typical gentleness, the Amazon nature within him makes him inherently aggressive and bloodthirsty during combat, a duality he constantly struggles to control.

In the larger narrative, Haruka serves as the emotional and moral anchor, challenging the black-and-white worldview of extermination. He is driven by the motivation to find his own identity and a place in the world, leading him to protect a group of surviving Amazons. In the film The Last Judgement, set two years after the second season, Haruka finds himself hunted by the anti-Amazon task force 4C alongside Jin. Seeking refuge, he stumbles upon a seemingly kind orphanage, the Kiriko Holy Garden. Here, he discovers the horrifying truth that the facility is a farm where docile, plant-like Amazons are raised as livestock to be slaughtered and eaten by humans. This revelation forces Haruka to confront the ultimate corruption of his ideal, as humanity has institutionalized the very predation he sought to prevent. His role evolves from a fugitive to a liberator, aiming to save the orphan children who have been conditioned to accept their fate as food.

His key relationships are central to his development. His foster sister, Mizuki Mizusawa, is his strongest emotional tether, working within 4C while secretly protecting him. His relationship with Jin Takayama is a complex rivalry born of opposite ideologies, oscillating between ally and enemy, almost a familial hatred between two different types of Amazons. The character undergoes significant development, transitioning from a naive boy asking "What am I?" to a decisive protector. The climax of his growth occurs during his final battle with Jin. When a dying young orphan named Muku begs Haruka to eat her flesh to gain the strength to stop Jin, he is forced to commit an act he finds abhorrent to honor her wish and save the remaining survivors. After finally defeating Jin, the guilt of this act consumes him, leading him to attempt suicide by drowning. It is only the vision or memory of Mizuki giving him permission to live that spurs him to continue existing, not as a joyful warrior, but as a lonely, burdened guardian who walks away into the forest, destined to protect the world from the shadows without reward.

As a Kamen Rider, Haruka possesses formidable abilities. Using the Amazons Driver, he transforms into Amazon Omega, a sleeker, green-armored form with enhanced physical parameters such as a punching power of 21 tons and a kicking power of 27 tons. His fighting style is naturally wild, relying on powerful charges and bites, which contrasts with Jin's more skilled approach. He can protrude sharp spikes from his body for defense and offense and possesses accelerated regeneration, capable of healing severe wounds including full penetrations. His signature finisher is the Violent Punish, where he uses the blade-like Shellcut Gloves on his arms to slice enemies in half. To adapt to escalating threats, he later obtains the Neo Amazons Driver, allowing him to transform into Amazon New Omega, which features enhanced power, electricity manipulation during transformation, and a weapon that vibrates at high frequencies.
