Nozomi Takai is the assault captain of the Nozama Peston Service, a group originally formed by Nozama Pharmacy to hunt and eliminate Amazons. She joined the extermination team primarily to earn money to support the orphanage that raised her, and she continues to fund it throughout her career. Nozomi is a tomboy with a rough, blunt exterior, but beneath that she is deeply caring and protective, especially toward the children at the orphanage. She is athletic and a capable close-quarters combatant, wielding a claw-like weapon in one hand and an army knife in the other, and she frequently employs powerful kicks as part of her fighting style. Over the course of the story, her skills improve markedly, allowing her to stand her ground against multiple Amazons. She maintains a strong bond with her fellow extermination team members, notably worrying about Mamoru after he aligns with the Amazons and eventually facing him alongside her comrades to bring closure. In Kamen Rider Amazons: The Last Judgement, Nozomi is in her late twenties and continues to operate with the same team, reuniting with them to assist Haruka Mizusawa and Mizuki Mizusawa as they confront a new threat tied to a secret Amazon livestock project. Her dedication to the orphanage remains a driving force, and her character arc shows her growth from a young, rough-edged fighter into a reliable, seasoned protector who balances her hardened combat instincts with genuine compassion.
