Description
Mizuki Mizusawa is the daughter of Reika Mizusawa and the adoptive sister of Haruka Mizusawa, the protagonist of the series. In the film Kamen Rider Amazons: The Last Judgement, set two years after the events of the second season, she serves as a field agent for the Competitive Creatures Control Center (4C), an organization dedicated to hunting and eliminating Amazons. Her background is rooted in a complex family dynamic: her mother, Reika, is a cold and pragmatic scientist who created Haruka using Amazon cells, while Mizuki herself grew up alongside Haruka as his foster sibling. In her earlier years, she was a high school student who relied on Haruka as an emotional anchor, but after Operation Tlaloc and Haruka’s departure, she chose to become a soldier rather than remain a passive observer.

Mizuki’s personality is defined by determination, resilience, and a deep-seated sense of loyalty. She is initially driven by a desire to bring Haruka back home, but as the situation escalates, she accepts that he cannot return to a normal life. Instead, she resolves to protect him and to confront the reality of the Amazon threat on her own terms. In the film, she is depicted as a capable and disciplined fighter, having trained intensively after high school to become an effective combatant. Her motivations are personal: she wants to ensure Haruka’s survival, even if it means standing against her own mother or the organization she works for. She also seeks to reconcile her own past and move forward from the trauma of losing her brother to the Amazon conflict.

Within the story of The Last Judgement, Mizuki plays a pivotal role as the bridge between Haruka and the human world. She intervenes when Haruka is cornered by 4C leader Takeshi Kurosaki, saving his life and fleeing with him into a lake. This act of defiance sets the film’s plot in motion. Throughout the film, she accompanies Haruka as they encounter an orphanage run by Einosuke Mido, and later reunites with the former members of the original Amazon Extermination Team, who have been sent by Reika to help them. Mizuki’s presence grounds Haruka’s struggle in a human connection, reminding him of the life he once had and the bonds that still exist.

Her key relationships are central to her development. With Haruka, she shares a deep, complicated bond. She loves him as a brother but is also forced to accept that he is no longer fully human. Her relationship with her mother Reika is strained, as Mizuki disapproves of Reika’s manipulative and experimental approach to the Amazon problem. In the film, Mizuki demonstrates her independence by choosing her own path rather than following her mother’s orders. She also forms professional ties with her 4C teammates, including Kurosaki, though her loyalty to Haruka often puts her at odds with them.

Mizuki undergoes significant character development over the course of the series and concludes in The Last Judgement. She transforms from a sheltered, emotionally dependent teenager into a hardened soldier who can hold her own in combat. In the film, she faces the moral weight of her actions and the impossibility of a simple resolution. At the end, after the final battle, she chooses not to kill Haruka when he asks her to, instead allowing him to live and continue his existence as a protector. This decision marks her full acceptance of who he is and her own commitment to living with the consequences.

As for notable abilities, Mizuki is a skilled sniper and hand-to-hand combatant. After joining 4C, she underwent rigorous training and became proficient with firearms and close-quarters fighting. She is capable of facing Amazons in direct confrontation, using her tactical awareness to support her team. Her determination and physical fitness allow her to keep pace with veteran hunters, even though she lacks the superhuman abilities of the Amazon Riders. Her greatest strength, however, lies in her emotional resilience and her refusal to abandon her brother, no matter the cost.
