She is quick to welcome Chiaki back to the tennis court after Chiaki recovers from her eye surgery and encourages her to resume normal activities. Kyoko accompanies Chiaki during investigations, offering emotional support and practical help. She is perceptive and brave, willing to follow Chiaki into uncertain situations. Her primary relationship is with Chiaki, and she acts as a steadfast confidante throughout the story. While Kyoko does not undergo a major personal transformation, her protective concern for Chiaki deepens as the mystery progresses.
