Description
Emma Noguchi is a character from the one-shot Rohan at the Louvre, where she serves as a tertiary character. She works as a Japanese interpreter for the publishing department of the Louvre Museum and is the first person to greet Rohan Kishibe upon his visit. Her appearance is notable for her slim build and long blonde hair, which she typically styles into a top knot secured with a bow tie. She wears a dark sleeveless vest over a blouse, paired with torn yellow tights and black shoes.

On a professional level, Noguchi is consistently polite and maintains a calm demeanor, even when faced with Rohan’s insistent demands to see a specific painting stored away from public view. She is diligent in her duties, consulting the museum’s database to locate the artwork and arranging the necessary permissions and accompaniment for the underground excursion.

Beneath her professional exterior, Noguchi carries a profound and secret sense of guilt stemming from a personal tragedy. She is the mother of a young boy named Pierre. In the past, while they were near a lake in a park, she left him alone for a brief moment to retrieve items from her car. During her absence, the child fell into the water and drowned. This event left her deeply traumatized and burdened with the belief that she was entirely responsible for his death.

This deep-seated guilt becomes the defining factor of her role in the story. When the group finally reaches the painting Sous la Lune, they discover it possesses a supernatural ability to create specters from the memories of those who view it. As the other members of the party meet horrific ends, Noguchi attempts to flee but is confronted by the ghost of her deceased son. Overwhelmed by a desperate mixture of guilt and joy, she breaks down completely, forgetting the mortal danger. She ignores Rohan’s warnings and reaches out to embrace the apparition. The specter of Pierre fills her body with water, causing it to swell and burst. Even in her final moments, her overwhelming feeling is one of happiness at having been able to see her son once more. Her body is never recovered, and she is officially listed as missing.
