Description
Adèle is the primary antagonist of the 2023 live-action film Jigen Daisuke, a spin-off centered on the titular character from the Lupin III franchise. Within the story, she is established as a powerful and ruthless crime boss who rules over a slum town known as Deigyo-gai.

Described as a beautiful but deadly woman, Adèle is confined to a wheelchair, a physical limitation that does not diminish her iron-fisted control over the local criminal underworld. Her motivations are driven by a desperate and sinister desire to halt the aging process. To achieve this, she orchestrates the kidnapping and harvesting of young children, using their blood to create a drug that allows her to age slowly.

Adèle's role in the narrative is to serve as the primary obstacle for the protagonist, Daisuke Jigen. The plot is set in motion when a young, mute girl named Oto, whom Jigen has taken under his protection, is kidnapped by Adèle's forces, making the conflict deeply personal for the gunman. In her criminal enterprise, Adèle is supported by a key lieutenant, a right-hand man named Takeshi Kawashima, who possesses the unsettling ability to alter his appearance and act as a shape-shifting assassin.

Throughout the film, Adèle remains a distant but commanding presence, orchestrating events from her stronghold. Her character does not undergo significant development, instead functioning as a formidable and symbolic force of corruption for Jigen to confront. The climax of the film features a final duel between Jigen and Adèle, which concludes with Jigen killing her and thereby dismantling her criminal operation over Deigyo-gai. While her primary weapon is not explicitly detailed, her authority is backed by a paramilitary force of soldiers, and she is shown to be proficient with firearms, notably using a SW1911 pistol.
