Description
Daidohji is a crime boss in Zero Woman: Assassin Lovers and one of the central targets of the protagonist, the police assassin known as the Zero Woman. He leads a criminal organization that is close to gaining control of the city. His main scheme involves documents stolen from the mayor's office, which his subordinates deliver to him so he can use them as blackmail material against the mayor and exert influence over the city's inner workings. His ambition is essentially political as well as criminal: rather than relying on force alone, he seeks to manipulate the city's leadership through leverage.
His motivations center on power and the expansion of his underworld empire. He wants the mayor under his thumb and the city effectively within his grasp, and he believes the blackmail material will secure that position. When the Zero Woman begins killing off his most important people, he becomes visibly worried about the threat she poses to his operation and to his personal safety.
