Lee Kyung-chun is a minor human character who appears only in the first episode of Parasyte: The Grey. He is a civilian with a criminal record, having been arrested twice for undisclosed reasons prior to the events of the series. His role in the story is brief but pivotal: while intoxicated, he attacks and stabs the protagonist Jeong Su-in outside the supermarket where she works. This assault directly leads to Su-in being infected by a parasite that fails to take over her brain, resulting in her unique hybrid state.
