Gantz Sensei is the authoritative robot teacher and the head of the Robot Academy, a position he holds across the long-running Robocon franchise, including the 2020 film Ganbareiwa!! Robocon: Urara~! Koi Suru Shiru-Nashi Tantanmen!! no Maki. His visual design is distinctive, taking its inspiration from the large-headed, solemn stone statues of Easter Island, known as moai. He is depicted as a large, imposing robot, and his chest is adorned with a set of heart-shaped lamps, a signature feature used during the grading process.
As the homeroom teacher, Gantz Sensei's primary function is to oversee the practical training of his student robots, who are sent to live among humans.
