Description
Hiei is a fire demon who serves as one of the primary characters in his narrative. He possesses the appearance of a young boy, characterized by spiky black hair and crimson eyes. He typically wears a long black coat with a red lining and a white muffler, often keeping his forehead wrapped with a bandanna. This bandanna conceals his third eye, known as the Jagan, which grants him a range of psychic abilities including clairvoyance, telepathy, and mind control.
Hiei’s origins are central to understanding his personality. He was born as a forbidden child, a male fire demon born to Hina, an Ice Maiden from the isolated glacial country. The Ice Maidens are an all-female race that typically reproduces asexually, and the birth of a male is considered a curse. His mother wept two Tears of Ice that crystallized into jewels for her twin children, and Hiei kept his as his only connection to her.
