Description
Frail Priest is a minor character in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 film, existing within the continuity of the Paramount Pictures film series rather than originating from the Sonic video games. This character is a human male with gray hair, peach skin, and brown eyes, who wears a black uniform complemented by a leaf necklace and black pants. He carries a book that serves a dual purpose, concealing a hidden weapon inside. As an agent working for the Guardian Units of Nations, a global military and intelligence organization, he operates under the cover of a priest. In the film, Frail Priest is portrayed by actor Ted Barba.

During the wedding ceremony of Rachel and Randall, Frail Priest appears in his assumed role as a clergy member, speaking about how the rings would symbolize their love. His wedding duties are interrupted twice by the ringing of Tom Wachowski's phone. After Sonic and Tails cause an avalanche, Frail Priest is seen fleeing from the rushing snow. Later, when Commander Walters reveals that many of the wedding guests are undercover G.U.N. agents, an upset Rachel directly asks Frail Priest if he is also an agent. In response, he reveals a taser gun hidden within his book, confirming his true identity, and then makes the sign of the cross before closing the book. This moment represents the full extent of his role in the story, as his function is to be one of several disguised agents present at the wedding. The character does not have any documented development or personal motivations beyond his duty as a G.U.N. operative, and he possesses no notable abilities beyond the use of his concealed taser.
