Description
Otowa Hyoko is a minor antagonist from the Rurouni Kenshin saga, appearing in the Jinchu arc of the original story and in the film Rurouni Kenshin Saishūshō The Final. He is one of the Six Comrades, a small band of skilled killers and warriors assembled by Yukishiro Enishi to carry out his personal judgment, or jinchu, against the former assassin Himura Kenshin.
In terms of background, Hyoko is a veteran of the criminal underworld rather than a figure tied to Kenshin's past. He was a close companion of the ninja Nakajo, and the two carried out nightly killing sprees together. Hyoko trusted Nakajo enough to give him a version of his own chusen, a concealed weapon associated with Hyoko's fighting style.
