Description
The Camera Operator character from the Detective Pikachu video game is named Keith Norman. He serves as a cameraman for GNN, the primary news network in Ryme City, where he has been employed for six months. In this role, he works alongside Yanma Pokémon, which are used as part of the camera crew for the network's studio productions.

Beyond his position at the network, Keith Norman has a secret identity as a factory director. He operates a facility with the help of his right-hand man, Alexander Wilde. The duo are involved in criminal activities centered on the production and trafficking of a dangerous substance known as R, with the goal of distributing it worldwide. As part of this operation, they detain a scientist named Simon Yen to force him to produce more of the substance.

Keith Norman acts as a direct subordinate to Roger Clifford, the main antagonist of the game, and carries out instructions from him. A significant part of his background involves his direct role in the story's central mystery, as he is identified as one of the assailants who attacked Harry Goodman, the father of the protagonist Tim Goodman. He also appears in Detective Pikachu's dreams in connection with this incident, alongside the character Carlos Hernando.

In terms of personality, Keith Norman does not hold Tim Goodman in high regard and also has a notable dislike for Olga Ellison, a music critic who appears in the game. His primary motivation is financial gain, as his criminal operations are driven by a desire to secure his salary and profits from the illegal R trade.

Within the story's narrative, Keith Norman functions as an antagonist. He is first encountered by the player as a seemingly neutral non-player character at the GNN studios, where speaking with him provides information about staffing rumors. This encounter serves as a cover for his more nefarious role that is revealed later in the investigation. He is associated with a Skorupi as his Pokémon partner.

Regarding the 2019 live-action film adaptation, the character of Keith Norman does not appear. However, a direct reference to him is made through the character Miss Norman. Miss Norman is the human disguise used by Howard Clifford's genetically modified Ditto, and she serves as the primary antagonist's right-hand assistant, mirroring Keith Norman's role as a trusted subordinate to a main villain.
