Having grown up facing challenges in speaking both Japanese and Finnish fluently, Mona possesses an impulsive and energetic personality, often acting on immediate desires without hesitation. This trait leads her to directly challenge experienced hula dancers from rival groups soon after arriving. She exhibits a distinctive habit of preferring to go barefoot, even attending school without socks or shoes.

Her arrival reinvigorates a struggling hula club started by Suzu and Fumi. Mona plays a pivotal role in recruiting members, notably convincing the initially unskilled Fumi to join. Her presence and enthusiasm act as a catalyst for the club's revival and ongoing activities.
