Description
Mikihisa Komaki is a supporting character in Library Wars: The Last Mission and the wider Library Wars series. He is a sergeant in the Library Task Force, holding the rank of Library Officer Second Class, and serves as the assistant captain of Team Dojo under Atsushi Dojo. Within the task force, he also works as an instructor, with Hikaru Tezuka as one of his students. Komaki is twenty-seven years old and is frequently seen with a smile or laughing at the interactions of his coworkers, especially those between Iku Kasahara and Dojo. This cheerful and pleasant demeanor masks a surprisingly detached and analytical mind, leading to him being described as a gigglin logician. His approach to situations is logical and strategic, and he is a calming and steadying influence on the more hot-headed members of his team. Komaki's personal motivation is rooted in a principle he holds strongly: he refuses to tell lies and has committed himself to living a straight life. This conviction was shaped by his childhood friend Marie, whose purity and honesty he admired deeply. Over time, he realizes his feelings for her have grown romantic. In the story, Komaki plays a key role as a mentor and advisor, offering guidance to both Dojo and Kasahara on personal and professional matters. He was also partly responsible for Kasahara being drafted into the task force. He maintains a close friendship with Dojo and is known for being both handsome and capable in domestic tasks, such as caring for Dojo when he is unwell. His notable abilities include his strategic thinking, his competence as a fighter and instructor, and his talent for de-escalating tense situations with calm logic.
