Description
Lancelot is a human character from the 2017 film Transformers: The Last Knight, depicted as the greatest of the Knights of the Round Table. In the year 484, Lancelot fought alongside King Arthur and his fellow knights during a heated battle against a Saxon invasion that was not going in Camelot's favor. When King Arthur told his knights that help was on the way, Lancelot expressed skepticism and doubt, questioning the reliability of the promised aid. Despite this mistrust, the king held firm in his belief in an old sage. The assistance ultimately arrived in the form of a giant three-headed fire-breathing dragon, which swiftly decimated the Saxon opposition. Lancelot's personality is marked by his warrior prowess and a cautious, questioning nature, as he did not easily place faith in unseen help. His primary motivation is to defend Camelot and fight for his king. His role in the story is limited to this historical flashback sequence, where he serves as a loyal if wary knight under Arthur. Key relationships include his leader King Arthur, his fellow knights such as Percival and Gawain, and the wizard Merlin whose intervention he initially doubted. Lancelot does not undergo any significant character development in the film, as his appearance is brief and confined to the past. His notable abilities are those of a highly skilled swordsman and fighter, being considered the greatest among Arthur's knights.
