While his in-game avatar is a tall, slender man with long unkempt blonde hair, dark circles under his eyes, and a white lab coat worn over black clothing, his true identity is Francesca Gautier, a 21-year-old French woman. In real life, Francesca is an art university student in Japan who lives in the same apartment building as the protagonist, Ray Starling, though he is unaware of her connection to his in-game adversary.
