Description
Kyō Takise is a main character in the anime series Opus.COLORs. He is a third-year student at Eisen High School, where he belongs to the Grader course, a discipline focused on evaluating and supporting perception art. Standing 181 centimeters tall with a birthday on February 10th and blood type B, Takise is the son of a famous grader who helped lay the foundation of perception art alongside the parents of Kazuya Yamanashi. He grew up as a childhood friend of Kazuya and Jun Tsuzuki, and the three once made a promise to become perception artists together. However, an incident that occurred ten years before the story begins caused Takise to change his ambitions: he abandoned the path of an artist and instead aspired to become a grader. Without offering any explanation, he began to put distance between himself and his former friends, creating a rift that persists into their high school years.

Takise is portrayed as cool and dry in demeanor, often appearing aloof and detached. He is highly intelligent, excels in all sports, and possesses genuine skill as a grader. Despite his seeming indifference to Kazuya's persistent attempts to reconnect, there are subtle indications that he still cares about him, making his true feelings difficult to read. This emotional guardedness stems from the emotional scars he carries from the past. His role in the story is central as a foil and reluctant partner to Kazuya. The two are paired together for the prestigious Staircaser competition, which forces them to confront their unresolved history and learn to collaborate. Through this partnership and the challenges it brings, Takise gradually begins to open up and reconsider the reasons behind his choices, showing signs of development as he reengages with his childhood friends and faces his own hidden vulnerabilities. His abilities as a grader are noteworthy, and his sharp mind and athleticism make him a formidable competitor in the competition.
